Assistant Manager Trainee

This position requires weekdays, weekends and some holidays. Full time and part time available.

Duties and Responsibilities for an Assistant Manager Trainee position include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Assist manager with retail store operations to ensure all company policies are upheld and all customers are served in a timely and professional manner. Provides leadership to all employees and creates an atmosphere that positively impacts on Focused Customer Service.
• Supervises employees engaged in sales, water testing, parts room, taking inventories, reconciling cash with sales receipts, keeping operating records, or preparing daily record of transactions for the bookkeeper, or performs work of subordinates, as needed.
• Responsible for working with each department to create quality control programs to improve overall company performance and our focused customer service commitment.
• Trains new and current employees on the policy and procedures of Royal Pools and Spas, Inc. as well as product and services.
• Prepares order requisitions to replenish stock on hand and forwards to the purchasing department.
• Responsible for maintaining store appearance and the pool/spa display areas by performing and delegating duties to subordinates.
• Learn, Assist and sell pools, spas, saunas and related equipment and supplies, such as pumps, filters, heaters, and etc.
• Maintains product knowledge fact books with current pricing and is completely familiar with the products sold by the Company.
• Maintains strong working knowledge of the products, pricing and services available with competitors in the marketing area.
• Prepares for and participates in Home Shows, Mall Shows, Fairs, or Extra Events as requested by management.
• Responsible for creating interesting and varied store displays to promote seasonal products, services and supplies.
• Answer phones and greet customers and ascertain what each customer wants or needs.
• Place special orders and/or call other stores to find desired items.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to understand and follow procedures for lab, parts and retail.
• Maintain knowledge of proper lab testing, products and procedures.
