2025 Spa Freeze Damage/Recurring Leak Agreement
Spas that have frozen and have been damaged by ice can have damage to their pipes, pumps, heaters and shells. This type of repair can be the most challenging of spa repairs.
Many times there is damage that cannot be seen. The damage can be hidden by insulating foam or other obstructions, or it may simply not be accessible. This often requires the spa to be lifted onto blocks to check for leaks and this is time consuming and labor intensive.
Freeze damaged spas very often require multiple visits in order to find and repair all leaks. Royal Pools & Spas agrees to repair only spas that they have sold that have sustained any type of freeze damage. A site inspection will be performed during the first visit by a service technician prior to any repairs being performed so that we can be as prepared as possible when we arrive to do the repairs. Even with a site inspection being performed, it is not possible to give an exact estimate for the repairs since multiple visits may be necessary, but the customer can expect that the total repairs may be in the area of $2,000 or more.
A signed and dated Spa Freeze Damage & Recurring Leak Agreement form with a valid credit card listed will be required by the customer prior to any repairs being performed. The labor rates for freeze damaged spas are $ 195 for the first hour no matter how long we are there for up to 1 hour and $195 for each additional hour per man per hour. The customer will be charged for EACH service call which will be charged in advance of the visit.
The customer may choose to discontinue repairs at any time due to escalation cost, but all the charges and parts used prior are non-refundable.
